As 2017 comes to a close, we reflect and review the past 12 months at RSS.

As the end of a year draws closer, many of us begin to look back on the many events and activities of the past 12 months and reflect on the goals attained, milestones reached and changes that have occurred.  We mentally make note of the successes and failures of the year and begin to look forward to what the new year will bring. At our agency, we’re no different.  While 2017  had a few challenges, overall we believe the year was a great one for RSS and our team!  We’re very excited about the changes we saw during the year and can’t wait to see what 2018 brings.
In our review, we compiled a list of changes or events we experienced that we think strengthened our agency and our team.

FOUR Great Charities

Our agency continued supporting four great charities in 2017.  Throughout the year we raised money and volunteered with and through our charities.  We continued our charity-centered referral program with our “Charities of the Quarter.”  As in the past, we highlighted one charity each quarter.  During that quarter RSS donates $10.00 for every referral we receive to that charity.  By the end of the year, RSS will have donated over $3,400.00 to charities just through our referral program.  Thank you to all of our clients and friends for their support.
We supported the following four charities, this year:  A Precious Child, Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, Food Bank of the Rockies and Samaritan’s Purse.  We encourage you to learn more about all four of these great organizations.  The RSS team volunteered at the resource center for A Precious Child in February, collected and built 51 Hygiene Kits in our first ever Hygiene Kit Drive, was a Backpack Sponsor for A Precious Child during the summer, helped drywall affordable housing in Boulder with Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, volunteered at the Food Bank of the Rockies Warehouse in September, won them an additional $2,000 through a social media contest (as well as raise $535.00 with our online food drive), filled 130 Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse in November and we volunteered at the OCC Processing  Center a few weeks ago.  Whew! It was a busy year, but we had such a great time helping these amazing charities!

FOUR New Team Members   

While we sadly said goodbye to several great RSS employees this year (because of across the country and world moves and motherhood), we were very fortunate to add four fantastic new members to the RSS team in 2017.  We hired Ben Trygstad as our newest in-house agent, Anna Pacatte as our newest personal lines account manager, Jessica Bueten as our agency administrative assistant/receptionist, and Malinda Murray as our new Commercial Account Manager/Certificates Specialist. We are very excited about the addition of all four of them as we believe they will be a great asset to RSS and our clients.  We hope you get to meet them soon if you haven’t already!

FOUR New Enhancements to Benefit our Clients

In May we introduced RSSNowRSSNow provides clients with 24-hour insurance policy access and information. Upon registration, clients have access to policy and agency information and documents such as auto id cards, certificates and evidence of insurance. Through the RSSNow  portal, clients will also be able to request changes to their policies, update information and report claims. RSSNow allows our clients to have immediate access to their policy information when it’s most convenient for them.
In August we launched the mobile version of RSSNow. With a single tap of our mobile app, clients have immediate access to their insurance information and policy details right on their phone!  In the digital world in which we live, we want to give our customers as many options as possible when managing their insurance needs and questions. We will always desire to have more personal contact with our clients, but we also want them to be able to have their information at their fingertips when we are not available in the form of a self-service option.
RSS now offers a complimentary Benefits Administration Platform to our current clients called EaseCentral. EaseCentral allows employers to easily manage employee benefits, on-boarding, and compliance in one central location. The EaseCentral solution makes the process of communicating, managing, and enrolling employees in group benefits plan much easier.
In November we implemented the agency-wide use of the DocuSign, allowing for more convenience for our clients and less waste in our agency. DocuSign provides electronic signature technology and digital transaction management services for facilitating electronic exchanges of contracts and signed documents. We are very excited about this added feature for both our employees and our clients.
Yep, 2017 was a very productive and busy year for our agency! We are very excited about the changes and additions we made, and we are hopeful that 2018 will be a great year as well. Happy Holidays and here’s to a very  happy and joy-filled New Year!
