ValuesWhat we say about ourselves means a lot and we take it seriously here at RSS. One of the core values you may find on our website or on our materials is the word INTEGRITY. To us, this word speaks volumes. It’s how we do life, it’s who we are.  In fact, we feel so strongly about our values, how we do business and how we want our team to conduct themselves, that we created an “RSS Moral and Ethical Code of Conduct” earlier in the year.  We require every agent and employee of our agency to read and sign this document so that they understand exactly what we expect of our RSS team.
While our entire code of conduct includes legal aspects as well as our “Honesty Promise” to our customers and carriers, we thought we’d share with you an excerpt from the document that we believe embodies the cornerstone beliefs of our agency.  The following excerpt comes from our RSS Moral & Ethical Code of Conduct document:
“While we’re proud of our legacy of experience and product knowledge, the ultimate goal of Richards, Seeley & Schaefer is to be known for our relationships with our customers and our community with whom we come in contact. All employees and agents share a serious responsibility for RSS’s good public relations and maintaining our value system within our agency, among the community and with all clients and people. Representatives of RSS will at all times conduct business honestly and ethically. We will constantly strive to improve the quality of our services and operations and will consistently attempt to create and reinforce our reputation for honesty, fairness, respect, responsibility, integrity, trust and generosity, all while pursuing sound business judgement and advisement of our customers.
Our focus should always be to provide our customers with the best possible protection and coverage to fit their needs. We aim to assist and advise our clients to the best of our ability in order to provide them with pertinent information, insurance knowledge and superior insurance coverage based on our understanding and research of products available.   We will adhere to our honesty promise to our customers and carriers.”
StaffPhotoPicMonkeyWe had two goals in mind when we created our code of conduct. First, we wanted to make sure our current team remains on the same page with us and knows what we expect from them on a daily basis. We LOVE the team we have assembled so far at our agency and we truly feel that they all value our belief system that we find so important. Our second (and primary) goal of this document was to utilize it as a conversation and expectation tool as we hire new agents and employees. We wanted to make sure that as RSS grows we continue to add people that value our cornerstone pillars of integrity, honesty, experience, generosity and community as much as we do.
We’re excited that on a daily basis we get to help and advise current and prospective clients on how to best protect what’s important to them. We most certainly hope that our customers experience a high level of trust and care when interacting with RSS. While we know we’re not perfect, our integrity and care for our customers should always remain intact. We hope you will find your experiences with our entire team enjoyable and helpful and that you see our values reflected in the way we treat our customers and in how we do business.
Integrity is choosing your thoughts and actions based on your values rather than personal gains. -Unknown
